The farmhouse is primarily of historical significance because of its association with the Burdett family who developed a renowned cattle stud on the property and were also influential in local affairs. It is an important example of the larger pastoral properties that characterised the region prior to the urban development after World War Two. (City of Salisbury Heritage Survey 1991) |
