Registered Name Rocky River Homestead
Significance The Rocky River Homestead dates from the land boom on Kangaroo Island in the 1880s and is associated with the most westerly advance of pastoral settlement on the Island in the 19th century. The homestead later became the headquarters for the Flinders Chase Reserve, the State's second national park. (HSA, 3/2000)
