This rather ornately detailed building is associated with the Institute movement in South Australia in the 19th century when many communities established an Institute as a facility for furthering their education. The building, which forms a part of Quorn's civic complex, reflects the desire of the local community to provide suitable facilities for such educational opportunities (HSA, 2/2000). |
