Significance The Former Robe Courthouse and Police Complex demonstrates the colonial government's role in developing key institutions throughout the colony's regional areas and specifically the expansion of South Australia's judicial system. Built between 1848 and 1864, the courthouse complex is an early example of a regional facility devoted to law enforcement and civil and criminal legal proceedings.
