Significance Kalangadoo House illustrates two eras of South Australia's historical development. The early cottage built between 1850-60 represents early land settlement in South Australia. The two storey house, built by prominent pastoralists around 1874, reflects the expansion and success of the pastoral industry in the south east of the State.
