Significance Operational from the 1890s until 1960, the Noolook Bark Mill Site is a remarkable surviving relic of the wattle bark industry, a widespread rural enterprise whose evidence in the state has almost entirely vanished. Historic remains evidence the site?s lengthy tradition acting as a regional centre, from mail change station and way station, to bark mill and wool shearing station.
