Dwelling ('Yattalunga') and Stables |
Registered Name |
House and Outbuildings "Yattalunga" |
Significance |
'Yattalunga' was established by the Butlers and is of significance as a representative of a time in Munno Para's history when grand pastoral properties existed. In its heyday, the 'Yattalunga' property encompassed a vast area. The main house is a relatively early building in the State's European history that was always considered to be grand and gracious. Although not inspected by the consultants, the house is said to be an unusually fine example of 1850s design and construction, featuring the use of imported and fine quality materials. |
