Significance First licensed in 1858, this hotel, its outbuildings and wall represent a good and relatively intact example of a mid-19th century hotel complex. Located on a prominent intersection, the hotel is associated with the commercial success of Kapunda as both a mining and regional centre (Heritage of Eight Lower North Towns, 1990).
