| Significance |
Constructed in 1864, Colman's Store demonstrates the agricultural and economic development of the colony in the second half of the nineteenth century. Built as a warehouse to store grain and flour it was also used as an exhibition building between 1883-1910 for the Strathalbyn Agricultural Show. Colman's Store also demonstrates the social and cultural development of Strathalbyn acting as a venue for community meetings, worship and theatrical events for over fifty years. |
