| Significance |
Keil House is historically important because it is a remnant from the Barossa Valley's first settlement. It is also architecturally for displaying a scarce plan form, the Black Kitchen (Schwarze Kueche), where the cooking and meat smoking was carried out in a centralised room which tapered upwards, pyramid fashion, to the chimney opening above the roof line.
