Significance |
A well designed factory building constructed in 1939, which survives substantially intact and is part of the important industrial history of Port Adelaide. It is associated with the expansion of paint manufacture, particularly for the growing motor car industry, by BALM Paints. It is also an important example of the pre-War Functionalist style of architecture and was designed by notable South Australian architect Phillip R Claridge. |
