| Significance |
The buildings forming the bulk of this group reflect the key physical features of the entire explosives factory site with the structures of red brick and corrugated sheet roofing. These are examples of a particular design of process buildings and associated air-conditioning plant rooms that were common to several original sections. The two western-most buildings have been successfully converted for office purposes.
Original earthen bunding separates the former process buildings.
The building (Building 285) to the west displays construction materials common to the others, but is much bigger in scale because of its close identification with the Anglo-Australian Joint Project. |
