Registered Name Administration Building
Significance The administration building, originally quarters for the controller and superintendent of Yatala Labour Prison, formed the main entrance to South Australia's first labour prison. The presence of senior officers on site at the prison reflects the importance of the function of the prison itself as well as aspects of prison management at the time. (HB: 8/2005)
