Mitcham Railway Station Building & Signal Box |
Registered Name |
Mitcham Railway Station Building & Signal Box |
Significance |
These buildings form part of the Mitcham Railway Station, one of the oldest and most complete stations on the line which was built through the Adelaide Hills in the 1880s to link Adelaide with Melbourne. The design of the station is a very common one which was reproduced in many parts of the South Australian Railways network and the buildings are good and intact examples of their type. |
