Significance The Arkaba 'Diapir' forms a distinctive topography of low knobbly ridges and mounds, haphazardly hilly areas (including the Arkaba Hills) and alluvium-blanketed lowlands. The 'Diapir' consists of an intensely mixed chaotic brecci forming an irregularly-shaped domal intrusion into rock ranging in age from Sturtian to Early Cambrian.
