| Significance |
The Water Tank at Moody Rocks was built to provide water for steam trains passing by at the foot of the granite slope. It is an ingenious construction with a huge catchment area. By using a geomorphological feature much success has been obtained in providing a continual supply in an area where water is scarce. It is also of much importance to the local community, which uses it as a recreational area. (Eyre Peninsula Heritage Survey 1985) |
