Significance |
This site represents an outstation of Aroona during the 1850s and the site of a mail station, which was abandoned by 1880, and is associated with the spread of pastoralism in the region. The rubbish dump, with burnt sheep bones, broken glass, ceramic shards, wrought iron nails and metal fragments, is of potential archaeological significance (HSA, 1/2000). |
